agreed the wides on v2 wheels are super hooked. Love my Axeman that way. think I will try some turbos soon.

LOSI123 11-29-2010 08:07 PM

What inserts with this setup, wider or std ?

stu541 11-29-2010 08:17 PM

I have aka foam in my ultra flexx Axeman's. But the new vp pro foams are very close to the aka. So the stock probably work too.

VPProUSA 11-29-2010 08:30 PM

AKA's fit perfect in Axman. They are a little stiff in Turbo Trax but the stock wide molded foam works ok too. The Proline V3 foam probably works best in the wide TT.

Also, the AKA foam fits nice in the condors.

stu541 11-29-2010 08:38 PM

hey Gene do you trim the stock wide molded foams for the wide tire on the v2 wheel?

VPProUSA 11-30-2010 09:00 PM

No.

Yes, VP-Pro will be making all new Truggy tires for 2011, just got word today. They will be lower profile VTR style in Axman, Turbo Trax, and either 808 or 809.

The wider tires will fit the standard wheels and then be ROAR Legal. They just give your car more traction and can be used on the front and rear. I ran them on my Agama Sun and had the fastest lap times and lead 20 minutes of the A-main at the JC Clash Warmup. Wide V3 size tires on standard wheels are super dialed!

Is there any advantage of using them on the regular wheel vs wide wheels? The reason i ask is because i bought some premounts and am thinking of using them the next time i make it to the track. Of course i can try both reg vs wide, but if you have an opinion i'd like to know.

This is great news, can't wait. The Turbo Trax UF's are the bomb:nod:

This is the best news!! hopefully just in time for spring. Axeman and the new 808's will be perfect for up here. We don't run the turbos too often.

The wide wheels have even more traction but are only RC Pro Series legal.
