Default RE11 pipe = EFRA 2071???

Got my pipe in the mail today and the etching on it says EFRA2071. The pic on AMAIN shows it as RE11.. Did they ship the wrong pipe?

The box says RE11...

Also got my turbo conversion kit. Two plugs were an unexpected bonus!

Losi's RE11 is an EFRA 2071.

RE11 is Losi's part number. 2071 is EFRA's homologation number.

So EFRA is pipe manufacturer for Losi then? As long as I have the right pipe, I'm happy.

They are like a sanctioning body not a manufacturer.

I see. So having the EFRA2071 stamp makes it an IFMAR/ROAR legal pipe.

That's why you will see pipes from different companies with the same EFRA number on them. For instance, you can find 086 pipes with Novarossi, Rex, Top, JP, Dynamite, RB or a bunch of other names on them. They are all made to the same dimensions and therefore get the same EFRA number.

Can one 086 pipe be better than another or are they all exactly the same specs?

the acoustics are the same, so performance will be the same - the quality of the materials is the difference.

There are differences in performance in the 86 pipes. Not all 86 pipes perform the same. You get what you pay for. There some good copies though.
