Looking for input on the best allen wrench set, using the ofna set now but tips are starting to wear. How are the Hudy wrenches?

mip wrenches are the best by far but the most expensive have had the same set 4 long time still like new tips

Eds, Hudy or even Losi are decent. Prefer the Hudy but have not used EDS

Like every motor or vehicle VS thread you see....they all work...its all personal preference....if you twist on a wrench so hard it snap's....most all others would also fail...as for wearing out...that's all dependent on how you are with cleaning the screw heads before ramming a driver in there to remove the screw....granted some wear faster then other's....its nothing extreme that you really have to worry about....pick your handle's and get the set you need (metric or SAE).

I use a variety of tools from Dynamite to Integy to Mugen to RD Logics to losi...they all serve a purpose and they all work the same.

I've noticed that my Standard wrenches fit the major screws on my Xray tighter than my metric wrenches. The only wrench I'm useing thats metric is 1.5mm. The other wrenches I'm useing are 5/64 and 3/32".

And an xray is supposed to be all metric! Same went for myt Rc8, the standard wrenches had a tighter fit that would be less likely to strip a screw head.

I have the duratrax complete set. I replaced the tips on my most popular wrenches with Hudy tips. Some times I had to drill the handles alittle or cut the shafts a but shorter to get the hudys to fit.

x2. BUT, i clean my screws b4 i wrench on them and still stripped sometimes. Just picked up some hudy tools, they are great tight fit

I currently have a set of EDS, and have used the Team Losi ones and some of the cheaper ones....

BUT I also have a set of the XTM hex drivers from Hobbypeople.net that I got as a prize at a race. They are actually an EXCELLENT set of drivers. Hardened and all. They work as well as my expensive set of EDS drivers at a cheaper price point. Good size handles that have a good feel to them. I've not broken one or had a tip "wear".....

id have to say hudy they last for ever and are a super tight fit in the screw heads.

I have Hudy's an d love them,but one bad thing about the tight fit? If you snap off that hex driver in a screw head they a PAIN to get out!!!

+1000 on hudy tools. They are a little bit more expensive but you will only spend it once. I have had dynamite which were ok, team losi I won't buy again, proline which were junk from day one, hard carbon fiber theybwere more expensive than hudy but not for 1/8 scale good for 1/10, and team magic great tools butthe tips were a little short. All and all hudy wns no competition. I do still use the hard carbon fiber engine tune driver it looks way cool and no one else has one so hard to lose it.
