Danny et al;

You just don't know how glad I am to see Ryan with a solid engine program for next year.

Tansel,

No we don't carry Sidewinder. Closest dealer to us is probably Pegasus or Ultimate.

Default S852 Motor

Jimmy, we ran the S852 motor for the first time at HotRod today. With the Novarossi 9901 pipe and 41021 header we where getting a good 11.5 minutes of run time with a 6.5 restrictor in a buggy. We first ran the motor with the extra head shim that comes loose in the box and it was lacking on bottom end. took the head shim out and the bottom end was better. Any other track and this setup would be really good, but HotRod is a very small track with a tight layout from jump to jump. Maybe we need to try a 7MM restrictor? What restrictors have you run in this motor so far? Someone had said that they tried the 9901 combo and it was lacking on bottom end as well. I think i will have to pick up a 0801 header and give that a try. Other than needing a little more bottom end the motor is great. Breakin on this motor was not hard at all. Motor held its seal without needing any extra sealing, have to love that. Carb tunes very easy, I find the motor tunes more like a Novarossi does. Lean on the bottom and rich on the top just like you had told me. Well thanks for all the help that you have given me.

Bill,

You are welcome.

I'm glad you like the "S". The 0801 is definitely a better choice for regaining the bottom end over the NR pipe.

Restrictor wise I have found that these engines run very efficient with the 8mm. We have been getting 10:45 avg on a large track with it and the 0801.
