Default Losing signal

So im not sure what’s going on here, Im breaking in a new motor in my truggy and every once in a while when the truggy is about 30-35ft away I lose the signal. Once I walk over to it I get the signal back. But this dose not happen consistently. I was probably a 70-80ft away the other night and it was fine. Radio is a spektrum DX3.0, batteries charge on that shows 10.3, I just took the receiver battery off the charger before using it. The antenna has not cuts or splices in it, so im at a lose? Any ideas?

rebind and make sure the antanna is long enough, for spektrum is should be at lease 6 inches

I had simular issues and found a bad receiver battery plug going into the switch was loose. I repaced with Dean ultra mini plugs, fixed that problem. also be sure no dirt or moisture inside receiver.

The antanna is the stock length s I think that part is good. I will rebind it tonight and try it will a different battery too. Can a reciever battery that still holds a charge be bad and cause it to lose the signal like that ?

Yes. I had an old battery that would take a complete charge, but discharge very fast. I was told that batteries can lose resistance after a long life.
