I own them both and have raced both....

The Losi is more forgiving than the first generation. Still durable as all heck. Very easy to drive and go fast. But still feels like a "truggy". A few things need to be "fixed" out of the box...

The Mugen is great. Drives more like a buggy. A little more sensitive to set-up. Very light and drives well. Solid. Needs nothing out of the box... Very durable...

IMO, nothing to choose between the two. You can't go wrong with either!

Pretty much any of the truggy's will win with the right driver. Looking at the first couple of big races of the year its been all RC8T and LOSI, but the new Mugen wasn't out yet. But, comparing them is like comparing underwear....they all work...just depends which fits YOU the best.

Losi 8ight t 2.0 is on my list so guess which one I vote for.. I have the 2.0 buggy and love the quality, drivability, parts accessibility, and the ease of maintenance. I was an avid AE supporter until I took the plunge and purchased this one. I couldnt be happier with it. GOOD JOB LOSI !!

ive had both... the losi made me way faster but gets that typical losi slop real quick. the mugen needs to be driven a little hard to perform like the losi. but mugen quality is second to none

You guys are nuts. Mugen turns better, accelerates harder , is lighter and jumps better.Way better than tha Losi.Quality like a Swiss watch. Mugen makes race cars not RTR's.

Its really hard to taken someone serious thats only owned one of the two vehicles or makes no objective statements about either one or both...

You can't make a "comparison" based on only one of the two.

Secondly, driving your buddies or even the local sponsored guy's "X" isn't the same as owning it and "tuning" it to YOUR driving style.....
