I just replaced mine after 2 gallons but could probably get more out of it. It has held up well.

there's a static measurement for the losi clutch's and its 23.4mm...once the shoes reach that you WILL need to replace stuff or you WILL see excessive heat and performance loss.

better yett here's a pic.

thats pretty good from stock out of box. most are about a gallon or less. my maxlifes and carbons, green&gold are 2.5 gallons now and still like new. might try some silvers for a sec soon with a 14 tooth bell. like to get a bit better bottom.......

nick, do you also change out the bell and springs when it's time to replace the shoes?

not really unless i notice something visually wrong.....with proper stall and shoe hardness you should never have slag on the bell and the bell should be minty for many gallons to come....I will change out the spring's when i feel them getting soft...the spring's + alum flywheel's like to wear a home and the spring's slowly loose a little more snap to them...then it's time to swap for a new flywheel....in buggy i ALWAYS leave 2 carbon's in with 2 alum and i have yet to need any more stall so im still on gold greens.
