I love my v-spec engine. I have just over a gallon on it. Whats unbelievable is that im getting 15-16 minutes on a tank. Running the low end a little rich with a jp2 pipe is probably why. Very reliable so far in my opinion though

I have seen 10 and even 11 may be into the low 12 range but 15-16 are u running an extra tank. That just seems like too much. What pipe are you running and how much limit do you use on the throttle servo?

Like stated above, im running a jp2 pipe. I only have one tank lol (yes its 150cc). I have a 8mm carb restrictor and thats about it

You gave it away when you posted 150 CC tank..That extra 25 CC goes a long Way with a V-spec..How nice to only pit once during races

I have a speed in an 8t 2.0 with a 7mm restrictor and a dyn 053 it's tuned to run at 220-235 great power and smoke throughout the powerband and I get about 10 min on a tank. Even my modded engines run in the 11 min range. There is just no way 16 min is realistic. Are you running the vspec super lean at 300+? I mean I could be wrong but I gotta question 16 mins. Maybe you just are in the absolute perfect place where conditions are optimum. I gotta ask, anyone ever get anything close to 16 min with a ROAR legal setup?

Yep its awesome. I run a 3 minute warm-up right before an 8 minute qual and dont have to come in to pit. Still get done with a little over 1/4 tank. Cant tell you enough how good the v-spec is!!!

I am running around the 205-215 degree range consistently. Everything runs perfect. Idle is awesome, bottom and top end are both where they need to be for the track I run on. The track is a medium sized track by the way. I live in the northwest area and the temperature right now is around the 65-70 degree mark. Everything is legal with my rr. Im maybe thinking that the jp2 pipe is the difference maker. You never hear anyone running a jp2 with a v-spec. That's the only pipe i have at the moment. Im gonna try a jp3, 2050, or a 053 and see if it makes that much difference though!!

I also question 16 min on a stock V-spec Despite it being in truggy and having an extra 25cc's....its got another pound plus to push.

on medium track with very soft throttle finger could see it being possible to get 15 maybe 16 if so that is cool i have heavy finger so get bad fuel mileage in truggy like to drive it punched out

i had a Vspec on my 5T last year and on normal CA tracks with a 7mm carb insert, i would at best get 11 to 12 at most with a good tune and great weather, His track must be small...

lol most tracks in the US are smaller than CA tracks. Mess around with your clutch setup and some other minor things and you can get longer runtime than that

You guys sound like a bunch of jealous bitches cause you cant get 15-16 minutes out of your V-spec in truggy..Maybe instead of doubting you should be asking what his set-up is..Just my 2 cents..no offense meant..just because its not happening for you doesn't mean its not possible especially if he came from electric where you have to have the smoothest possible throttle finger
