Default HoBao Hyper ST Truggy RTR

whats everybodies opinions and thoughts on these? Im thinking of buying one as i would like a 1/8th Truggy. Its a little out of my price range but should take me to long to save it up. If anybody has any models they would recommend for a similar price, let me know.

Cheers

Save more and get the Losi 2.0 truggy..It will be the best ever RTR truggy ever released.

The Hyper is heavy! Has crappy parts support, even on-line! The engine that comes with it, is a turd, and the servo's and radio are worthless. They also use some really cheep crappy parts on the RTR as compared to the Hyper ST pro..I sold my Hyper ST pro for various reasons but mostly because it was so heavy, and not competitive, and impossible to get parts for

If you are planning to race this truggy - dont get the Hobao. Its heavy, parts are not easy to come by, steering is horrible.

I had one- that was my first truggy....... this truck is made for bashers - I would just save up alittle more and get the Losi 8ight T 2.0 RTR - that is going to be on hell of a RTR.

if you can get parts for the hyper st buy one,but if there is no lhs supplying parts for the hyper st dont bother to buy one...

i dont think the hyper st has a crappy steering, the only downside of that truggy is the weight coz its very heavy.you can used it for bashing around or if you intend race youll have to make some modifications to make the truck light..

but for me get the jammin x2crt over a losi truggy

dont waste your money on one of those worthless losi's. a couple buddy's of mine have hyper st rtr's. its a very nice truggy for the money. in fact i feel a little stupid for paying a lot more for very little gain compared to the hyper st rtr. the engine that comes with the hyper is more than decent as is the steering sevo (surprisingly).the gas/ brake servo needs replacement as does the tires. the cast hubs break and you should replace them with machined hubs when you get the chance.this is a truggy that really can turn and if you can stay on the gas and keep your momentum then you should be able to mostly keep up even with the ready to run engine.
there is the ebay store, "aatsco" i think who sells the hyper st rtr for $380.00 or best offer. you can talk him down to around $360.00 before shipping . thats a very good deal for what you get. fyi
