second off. I was taking my muffler off to cleand it, and was noticing the pinch on my motor. When i turn it, it still has compression, But not as much as before. Quite a bit less actually. You can forget a 6 second flop test. Is this because i finally got it running right and it has expanded properly. I have about 2.5 gallons on it. I have had it for about a month. After i broke it in, It was off and on with how it ran. I had a hard time getting it to run right. It had alot of compression the whole time (like 2 gallons). Now i have had no problems and it has started right up and kept it's tune. Is it normal to have this little of pinch?? How much pinch should i have?? I know this is quite hard for anyone to answer. I am just concerned i guess. How much does your engine have?? I know i sound crazy huh?
when ever the pipe is removed from the motor it will seem to have less compression. The 6secons hold test dosent hold true for OS motors for the most part. Unlike Nova and sirio based motor the OS motors seem to run better and longer with less compression.

Just a bump so maybe this thread will be used instead of creating numerous others for such simple questions that usually dont need to be asked in the first place.

Will alumium shock towers effect the performance of my mugen6, I had a crack in the front one. THe rear is still carbon but the wing stay gets most of the shock, so i bought another one of those too

You wont notice the difference Dreaux..but remember that aluminum will bend where carbon and plastic will break..aluminum is not an upgrade unless its considerably thicker than stock..If you snap carbon, your aluminum will bend

so i should have just got another carbon one. I misunderstood. So basically i would have a bent tower right now. But i could still use it. How easy do they bend. THere not as tough, that is a dissapointment.

If you broke the carbon, you would have bent the aluminum so bad you would not been able to bend it back...you know what happens to metal when you keep bending it back and forth....snap....Use the aluminim if you bought it already, when that one goes..get the cheepest one..you'll be replacing them allot until you stop landing on your tower

got my towers today. They are a good bit thicker then the carbon ones, and to me they weigh about the same. I will let you know how it performs. I am getting to be a good driver really. I have had some bad landings of ramps but thats about it. I have learned how to control my jumps now.

I am changing oil in my shocks. Can someone give me some advice on what shock oil would be best. I have been running the stock setup on my mugen (450), maybe someone can explain what lighter oil in the front and heavyier in the rear and visa versa will do. Even the hudy book doesn't really explain it, it says to change the pistons. any help is appreciated. I have 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 900. I will fidle with the pistons later if necesarry. Would like to mess with the oil first. Overall though my car drives and corners well. But would still like to know.

AND YES I HAVE USED THE SEARCH FUNCTION.
