funny you say back in the day. His mbx prospec is like 9 years old! I just thought the diff was intresting. I mean the diff case was half the size of my diff case. And yes I definitley agree about the parity of cars. When he picked up my 6 he could not believe how light it was compared to his 5.

I am sorry this might be a dumb question and i am sure there is a really good reason but if you have a 13t bell and a 46t spur that is 3.5 (give or take) gear ratio. so why not have a 2 to 1 ratio??? wouldn't that be twice as fast??? Does it hurt the car? bad fuel mileage?? unusable power?? Just curious.

Twice as fast topend, but extreme overheating, horrible fuel economy, and bad for the clutch.

the cs170 is a copy of the 5955...not the 7955...there's minor difference's...but thought i would point that out.

i understand. So basically you would melt your spur. My truck stays in the 2,000 rpm range while my vspec does about 40,000 It's almost like our cars are running in first gear??? to get my truck up to 40 mph in first gear it would take a zillion rpms. THose little engines are pretty incredible when you think about it.

good night.

Don't compare R/C to real engines.

Ok, minor differences. The CS170 is still way cheaper than it's hitec counterpart.

$10 cheaper. I can/am going to buy a Hitec 7955TG for $102 shipped on ebay coming from Florida.

They are identical dude. Hobbico warranty is just as good or better than the Hitec warranty.
