NO you need from .3-.5 of end play....A full MM will allow the shoes to be exposed to the elements and wear out everything just that much faster....imo you need to shim that play out till you have from .3-.5mm

guys. the damn thing wont stay running no matter what i do. It idles for days. When i get to mid range it just cuts out. I get it up to temp and everything. I even brought it back to factory settings but it was to rich. Leaned it out a bit so it would start, mash the trottle any more then a little it cuts out, lean it out and there is still way to much smoke comming out, big plumes. Lean it out, it dies from starvation. Richen it dies. Thought it might be a air leak checked all the screws replaced fuel line. Dies. Switch air filter. dies. When i first ran it, it ran great. Now won't do shit no matter what i do. I really think the carburator is crap. I don't know what to do. Maybe it's the new clutch setup. i don't know but i am fed up. I am really wanting to get rid of the whole thing and crawl into a hole. sorry i am being like this. Just very upset.

you dont need a new motor. You need someone to set everything up for you and for you to LEAVE IT ALONE untill you learn how to mess with the stuff by yourself.

wrong. Someone has already set it up from him. He aparently went messing with it and has the tune way off again. He needs to get it set and leave it and not mess with it unless others are arround him to help him learn. He needs to learn how a properly tuned motor sounds before he can learn to tune one.

Dreaux you are the exact reason I never recommend high dollar racing engines for begginners! IMO you wasted $300 on an engine that will last you about 3 gallons..I always advise new peeps to start with good cheep Dynamite, SH or Ofna brand engine for $100

man i hate to agree with jazzy, but he is right. i've seen many people get out of this hobby because of the frustrations like you are having with your engine. go and get a cheaper engine and put yours on the shelf until you get a better grasp of tunning.

imo
