I am using a Trinity IB 1600 hump pack. It can go a 30 min main with no prob. Last year I used the Trinity EP 1500 pack and they performed excellent. I want to go lipo but I dont want to use a regulator and I am steering away from the JR servos, waiting patiently for the new hitec 7950 and 7940, then I will switch to a lipo pack probally the losi 2000 one.

one car i got a li-Ion 2 cell 2600mah pack with hobbytown regulator0m,

one truck with 1600 duratrax 5cell Nimh

another with 2300mah Lipo with turnigy regulator

will never go back to Nimh, it looses voltage so fast when using 2 digital high toque. but always gotta remember to turn it off and always double check

I've been toying with the lipo thing just not sure on it yet cause not sure if I'm gonna run nitro next year or not. I'll check the stickman batteries out a little farther and see if they can make me the packs in the configuration I need.

Depending on which flavor of electric you go, your steering servo will probably be happier with a separate RX pack... The majority of BEC's are 5V and if you're lucky, 1 Amp.

4PK/604 Rx, Ace servos, Apogee 2000 MaH LiPo, direct = dialed

I was running Castle Creations B.E.C as a Reg, but had lots o problems. And I had two of them that did, so now I'm going direct.
Also, Apogee Rx packs can be had for $13

Default 4PK JR DS8711 & z9100s

I running a Protek 2300mah lipo plus Novak low voltage cutoff and ultimate racing regulator. I needed this to keep my JR DS8711 & z9100s running in prestine condition, from the start of the day to the end. They get all commands thru Fasst(4PK).

The Hitec 7955TG is unregulated LiPo safe, and the new HV series that are just around the corner are built specifically for LiPo...

I've had great luck using my CCBEC regulator... Actually, I have two... Since it has programmable voltage (as long as you get the castle link cable), I made a USB charger for my truck out of it
And with a 10 Amp rating... It's not likely you'll ever have to worry about pulling too much power.

I run a 2500mah Stickman pack in my Jammin CRT with a Hitec 5955/5965 combo. This Saturday I got lazy and didn't swap receiver packs before the A main, and I didn't have any problems. It was a KS Pro Series race with 3 rounds of 5 min. qualifiers and a 30 min. A main. I ran all that and at least 15 min. of practice before the qualifiers started, not to mention the 2-3 min. of warm-up before each round. In my Hyper 9 I have to run a flat pack, so I'm running 1600mah Dynamite, and I just make sure and swap a fresh pack in before the main (I have two packs just to be safe). I've got a Hitec 7955/7965 combo in it. No problems with it either. I'm like a lot of guys, on the fence about switching to lipo. Maybe when Hitec releases their HV series servos and I can run no regulator.

Right now i have 5 months using cheap Hitec 985mg on my buggy and 5998's in my truggy with direct lipo (1.800mah) and no problem at all, but soon i will switch to Hitec 7955 wich are very well tested on direct lipo

cya !
