cleaning fiberglass disks
i had my center diff gasket go out on me and it blew diff fluid all over the brakes. what how should i clean them?? i was thinking simple green, then scuffing the pads with sandpaper.

Vigorously sanding them will bring them back to new...but you'll have to be careful to not go too far over time without checking the gap's on the cam's and everything...i ran my Old HD disc's till they were too thin and were binding up the brakes and causing all sorts of issues....the new 2.0 discs/pads are much thicker and should last Alot longer.

I use these..Instead of sand paper. Abrasive enough, not so aggresive ...

thanks guys, i am just gonna try cleaning them. i don't think sanding them is a good idea. i just don't want to ruin them. back in the day when i raced bmx i used Simple Green on my rims to get the brake pad residue off. that worked really good
