The "Heat" is a very good tip, I have been doing the same thing, You can also use a heat gun or small "Lighter Type" torch. (keep away from plastics) One thing I want to add to those who struggle with hardware coming loose. As said above, more loctite is not the answer. If you clean your screws/threads with acetone it will make the loctite bond better. With Loctite, oils and grease are the Darkside
If you need to clean your female threads, I use pipe cleaners from Walgreens. They have the ones with small stiff nylon pins that do a great job of breaking down old loctite, they also work great for cleaning out your arms so the hingpins move freely.

all ive ever used on everything is the blue permatex used sparringly it works great, also keep apply it as close to the tip as possible and obviously quality tools make all the difference
