Hi guys, just recently acquired a used d8t and was wondering if what parts are interchangeable between the d8t and d817t, or if it’s possible to convert everything to 817t down the road, any input is really appreciated, thank you.

Alot of the parts should convert over easily. I still just use the regular d8t parts for now. My truck was pretty dialed so I never changed it. I would really just swap them as parts wear or break. The steering bell crank is one I did right away though. If your does not have the new one it hit the front driveshaft at full lock or somethin . It been years since I thought of it actually. There where like a couple worth the change when they came out with the ty tessman one. Cant remember what they where beside the bell crank.

you gonna run into some small changes depending on what on the car. Like the ty tessman the made the rear CV a little longer. Lower shock tower I think also... hinge pins would be a small mod with a dremel I think. So you do have to do a little work here and there. But diff case gears and brace are drop in even the hubs. If you can by the king heads steering brace will help a lot.

I'm not sure on that but i would look at the d8t ty tessman one that what I used for mine. Or take a glance at the owner Manuel's and see if the list a length for both cars. If the length is the same it will work but than u have to buy the new 10t pinion gear also. I would think look at the parts and see what different.

Hello Guys, does anyone use LIFE battery on the D8?
If so, what brand and model? was it necessary to adapt?

You can if you change the front and rear gearboxes, diffs are the same. Only input gears are different
plus bearings for the input gears

Hi Guys,

any news of a D819T? It looks like the old 817T Kit is out of production.
