would you be able to provide me with more details of this hybrid conversion you did. i have a D8T in route that would be fun converting to a D817T as much as i can. Thanks in advance

I am running a D8T and the original 133mm rear cva dogbones pop out from the outdrives for every big jump with the droop issue.

Can the

E817T 135mm Rear CVA Dogbone

fit the D8T without changing the arms?

Does anyone know what it would take to fit the jconcepts finisher D817t body on the D8T?

Taller front body mounts are usually all that is needed.... back in the day I had used some losi truggy mounts to fit different bodies, a friend of mine is currently using associated front mounts to fit different body on his D817TE.

D817t v2 front shock tower, which is the new tower for that body. It has two sets of mounting holes, the original and higher mounted holes

Have the E817t for a week here is my observations.
1. Front Shock Springs too short. Yes I Dremeled the arms. My fix was use the long shock ends from 819 buggy.
2. Can't purchase a body to fit unless you purchase another shock tower $46 or some other brand's part.

3. Front shock bodies are discontinued on Amain web site.

Company name changes should not be the customers problem. I feel shortchanged say the least. Sucks to be a HB truggy owner!! Yes I sent an email to HB and no response.

Regards the body,. I believe part of the issue is that Proline discontinued the body which meant its unavailable to PL stockists and also HB.

Shock bodies. Not discontinued by HB. Amain may have discontinued stocking of that part for whatever reason, maybe an oversight but we still have it here in the UK and HB have stock of them

Answer-RC - HB-67289

HB Racing HB67289

Appreciate you responding so quickly. I also have the HB E819 buggy. Whatever the reason for not having a body we the customer have to pay. You don't seem to understand those of us who recently purchased your truggy and have to turn around and buy something else for your over site. Prove to your customers you are the #1 rc car company who is a responsible leader with integrity. Include the new front shock tower in the kit and also offer those who recently purchased, a free front shock tower.
Think of it as a business investment.
Mine was ordered 12-23-2019 from my local hobby shop.

I did this to mine. I use the Tlr 8t4.0 mounts. I use old shock tower I drill it like video.
ive used these body’s with that setup.
jc 8t4.0 body
jc d817t body
proline mugen 7tr body sits a bit high though.

some other body’s are
leadfinger strife. I think you need v2 shock tower or probably if you drill shock tower and use Tlr mount you can prob use the strife but not sure.
I’m also a privateer and buy my cars yea it sucks but these are your options just trying to help you out.

absolutehobbyz.com has more hb parts then anyone in USA I’d say and usually cheaper.
there main USA distributer.

problem is you’re shopping from the wrong place...

The proline bodies are in stock at absolute:
https://www.absolutehobbyz.com/pro-l...n-edition.html

They have the front shock bodies too. Get some red front springs while you’re at it
