I heard a rumor a while back the V-Spec may soon get updated to a DLC coated crank or that OS may even put out an all new engine.

The OS Speed by itself is $400, only $30 more than you nova custom.....but how much will it cost to rebuild the nova custom?

I think Sirio makes a 3 port motor that might be worth looking into. I ran the werks 3 port a couple of years ago and it was a good motor. Not a monster on top but was good on all but the largest tracks....

Why would you need to rebuild it? If you take care of it, it should be good for 12+ gallons and when it finally dies, just buy a new one. It's not worth-while financially to rebuild engines properly anyway. The SPEED has great timing, and produces fantastic power, butthe Achilles heel of OS engines is invariably longevity (or lack thereof.)
