i got to run my 8t 2.0 this weekend at motorama and in the main my losi stock tires blew off the rim and the rear bearing blew out.i called horizen and the replaced it all for me. man the 2.0 loves to eat up bump's and jump's. :tire:

the losi likes to eat up bearings that is for sure but the truck is wicked fast. if you replace your bearings and they still blow out. i can mod the stock hubs to fit a standard 1/8 bearing(8x16x5) if you want. i run it on mine and have no bearing issues now.

J, send me a price to do the hubs, with you buying the hubs. After i get the new hubs I'll send you my stock ones, this way I have no down time.

hub mods

hub mods include 2 avid bearings. you can pm me for prices and i do have some hubs and bearings in stock. i run the bearings in the spindles to just for the simple fact of the front ones last a little longer than the rears and with the mod they last alot longer, and you only have to get one size of outer bearing. thanks again Tix

cheers mate.
im just happy that i've found a way to keep the losi on the track. i've been doing this mod for my own car for over 8 months.

thats a sick looking ride. i love the war paint.
how do you find the whites in the front. i was thinking of trying it but i want to wait until i have the smart diff.

even on the 1.0 i ran the greys up front with big bars all the way around, i just seem to like my truck alittle stiffer i run the whites with 2.7 bar on the front and it doesnt want to dog leg going into the turns now. i am running smart diffs in the front with 2.0 springs and in the center with 2.5 springs and the ramp plate shimmed alittle tighter.

i will theys should make out today with no problem i will let as soon as they ship. thanks again j-dub

Shock caps

After one race day I found the shock caps are already wearing.
I think this is du to the 3.5 deg toe in.
Is there a fix to this problem?

Thanks Hellsavage

I ran Avids threw my whole track last week at the Nitro Challenge on the most gruelling surface and layout I have ever seen! Haven't seen that many broken cars and truggies at one race ever!!

Anywase my rear bearings held up great all weekend:nod:

And yes, this truck makes the roughest parts of the track seem like there not even there:sneaky:

Would it be safe to say all you need to do is get rid of the stock rear bearings and we should be good to go?

J-DUB 02-24-2009 08:45 AM

I am by no way trying to tell you that other bearings wont work i am just telling you that i ran avids and they still didnt hold up. For the guys that get free bearings or get great deals no prob, but for the ones that dont want to put new bearings in every weekend and sometimes twice a weekend there is an option. I like to run the trickest stuff anyways and racing isnt racing if you arent trying to tweak and make your truck or buggy better. That is all i am saying and for the ones that keep saying it isnt the hub. I never said it was the hub you have to mod the hub to fit the bigger bearing. I feel that is just the bearing and that is the only issue that i have and now i have no issues do to running the bigger bearing. I also milled the shock towers for the camber links sinse the bolts where to short and i didnt want to put longer ones and grind them off. and milled for the 2 bolts for the upper wing mount holes that only go in about 2 threads. But that is just me and my trucks seem to stay together quite well but maybe i'm just anal. Well what can i say i live in the race capital of the world and my shop is on gasoline alley thanks again J-DUB.
