ya that's the one so you say it will not fit?

Frank L 03-06-2010 02:46 PM

Nope that LiFe pack will not fit its too tall and too wide.

These are the max Dimensions (WxLxH): 1.75x2.05x.80 in (40x52x20mm)

Although one of the other guys at our track just got some protek LiFePO's for his mugan - they are a little bit bigger and just fit into the battery box they also have a bigger capacity:D

Amain LiFePo

As a comparison cobras LiFe hump packs are dimensioned as followed

1300mAh
51mm L x 31mm W x 24mm H

The Amain ones are as follows:
1700mAh
55mm L x 31mm W x 32mm H

Well, I took my shocks apart yesterday and they had 55 pistons in all 4 corners. Wonder if I should change the diff fluid too.

DG Designs 03-07-2010 08:13 AM

probably. you picked it up used didnt you? If they changed out the pistons who knows whats in the diffs.

Ya maybe there's nothing in the diffs. Always tear down a used car and set it up like you want.

I wouldn't use the 48 spur unless you are going to be using a .28 engine. The 50t gives a snappier bottom end and lacks no top end. Much better fit for a .21 engine.;)

And I agree, the alu. diff mount is awesome! A much needed improvement over the stock plastic unit!

Im running a LW drivetrain and i plan on taking more weight off. Im just trying to stop wheel spin on take off or coming out of the corners.

I run 48T all the time....never personally liked the 50T for most tracks.

Hey guys, I'm picking up a truggy with this latest rebate from Losi so that
I have it to run for this outdoor season. Problem is, I'm gonna stay with
my GRP tuned .21 buggy engine. Any tips for clutching and gearing for this
engine to run it in a truggy? I know this engine is "soft" on the bottom but
for my driving style, it is a perfect engine for me, in my 2.0 buggy. Times
are tough and I can't be affording to go out and buy a brand new engine
so it's gonna have to work in my truggy.

Anyone?

Many people used those engines in truggies. It will do fine with correct gearing, clutch and pipe. Maybe Frank can chime in on here. I know he ran GRP's for a while in his truggy. I believe most were modded, but he may still have some recommendations.;)
