just move on to a difference and better buggy... I don't think that the H9 will be as durable and dependable as the H8...

MadRacer 10-20-2008 12:48 AM

agree!! and don't forget the new Mugen... that buggy is not a joke!!

BermyDomRepRC 10-20-2008 08:19 AM

I am waiting till the h9 comes out i think its gonna be soon but im waiting untill next year to buy any buggy as they all look good i like the h9 because its different

Jaz240 10-20-2008 09:10 AM

The Hype on the new Hyper started almost a year ago. About 6 months ago I started looking at new buggies. Being a loyal Ofna guy, of course my first choice was the Hyper 9, but I just got tired of waiting, and went with the 808 instead. (MP9, and MBX6 had not been released yet either) I am glad I chose this buggy, and it blows away anything I have ever owned before, but I am still excited to see the Hyper 9. I just dont need to buy it anymore

UltegraSTI 10-20-2008 09:12 AM

apparently it wasnt 'close' enough for robert batille.

I think that the only HoBao Racing driver running the H9 is Kortz... :weird:

* move on guys....the roses look and smell at lot better at the other side of the fence *

Tcaputo 10-20-2008 10:44 AM

I read somewhere April - May 2009

Jaz240 10-20-2008 10:54 AM

I would rather them take their time and do it right, then to just release it with all kinds of problems, like the Losi

zJatoRad 10-20-2008 10:55 AM

I can't wait for the Hyper 9 to come out, it has showed it's potential and has turned fast laps, and I'm sure it will be a great buggy, GO HOBAO!

Just an opinion, and based on nothing...

It's alright to like what you drive, and it also alright to feel that what you have the best, but what positive comes out of saying something negative about someone else's product, especially one that hasn't even been released yet...

I think the Hyper 8.5 is the best buggy out there, but I won't push it on someone looking at a Losi. If that's what they want, then good. It's supposed to be fun, and that's all I care about. I don't care what car you run, engine, radio, or so on...It's about having fun...

I promise I won't tell you my opinions of the buggy you run, in exchange for the same respect in return...Lets try promoting "everything' in our Hobby, and I'll bet more will want to get involved, because there won't be all the "that sucks, or that's garbage" talk to discourage a posible future racer to get involved...

I don't want to say "can we all get along", but almost feel like I have to...lol

PinoyCali 10-20-2008 12:08 PM

+1 ... Lets have fun :nod::nod:

MadRacer 10-20-2008 03:33 PM

I have never said anything bad about the H9.

Its just so long since they said it will be ready.

It really doesnt matter to me as I am going to buy a 808.

They should have said it will be a year away.

From what I remember the H8 never took this long when i updated from the H7 to H8.

Please don't think my comments were aimed at you. They were only aimed at "D8" for being so derrogitive about everything Ofna lately (guy hadn't said anything even remotely positive, and is (again IMO) being a super huge tard about products that aren't even available yet), and IMO there is absolutely no need for it.

FYI, this is the same guy that is very close to being banned (if not already) on the Ofna forum for his attitude, and derrogitive posts...

Sorry for having to point him out...

D8 10-20-2008 04:59 PM

Rob... you are just mad because THE TRUTH HURTS!!! get over it... ;) there must be a reason why no other US pro driver wants anything to do with OFNA!!!

C Branch 10-20-2008 05:01 PM

I can't wait to see the H9! It is very innovative and has some very cool features.

if there are reasons then why did you race the hyper 8 for a while?

if you have nothing positive/constructive/helpful to say, why bother posting at all.

Jaz240 10-20-2008 07:22 PM

I have to agree with Texas Carlos on this one. Georgia Carlos just has something nasty for Ofna, but D8, you really are not helping anything dude, lighten up, Ofna happens to be a great Company with great customer service, and all your negativity is really not helping anything. Remember when we spoke about the important things in life!? This is definately not one of them.

D8 10-20-2008 08:09 PM

my problem is with OFNA and not HoBao... OFNA is the reason why HoBao isn't a top brand here in the US and the reason why no more top drivers jump in the wagon... look overseas, it sure looks like the other distributors are getting the job done... when was the last time that Kortz was wearing the HoBao Racing Team shirt, hat, etc?? now.. look overseas and see what they wear on raceday... just look at the support that they get., those distributors know how to promote their stuff!!!
look at the Hot Bodies D8 forum here in this website and you will see the support that we get from the Hot Bodies team drivers.. is awesome!!!

better yet... if you look at the OFNA webpage, they have not even posted any information about the Worlds Champ race after the race.. and they were the main sponsor of the race..

Jaz240 10-20-2008 10:02 PM

I will admit you make some valid points about the Team drivers not really mingling with the public, or sharing any info. I know the Team drivers for Xray are all posting on Xray's website, and they even post their set-up sheets for different races, so all the Xray people can get faster lap times, but that does not absolve you from always blasting Ofna. It just does no good. they have a huge following, and they will continue to do so, and they will continue to be hugely successful, and you bashing them constantly is only causing fights, and giving people reason to fume, and fight with you also. Let it go, or keep it to yourself, no good is coming from it

D8 10-20-2008 10:33 PM

I will drop it but one more thing....the OFNA management dept have their heads up their butts.... :D: I feel better now..

sickboy 10-20-2008 10:46 PM

do you even know what an ass you look like? your rant is REALLY old.
ofna sucks and d8's are the best buggies ever made in the history of the universe, kyosho's are over priced and futaba radios should be thrown in the trash. is there any thing else you can enlighten us with? its time to let up.

D8 10-20-2008 10:56 PM

I understand that a lot of people will get upset, but that is the way I feels about OFNA's way to do business...

then people wonders why some companies owners, CEO's etc... have fat bank accounts, while their own cust and even employees are not getting the best support, products or whatever the case might be.... the answer is easy., because as long as they keep getting more money, they wont care about nobody else but them self.. sad but true!!

end of the subject..

zJatoRad 10-20-2008 11:23 PM

just one thing, who asked you to post that? wether it's true or false, you just came out of no where and started posting all this random negative posts about Ofna when no one even was talking about Ofna but about the Hyper 9.

and you said the problem is Ofna not HoBao, but then why did you post this:

"just move on to a difference and better buggy"

"move on guys....the roses look and smell at lot better at the other side of the fence "

D8 10-20-2008 11:40 PM

Carlos... I don't even want to talk about it anymore, you have your opinions and I have my own.. I don't like OFNA as a company and I have mixed feeling about the H9..I am sure that you will be happy with the H9 whenever it comes out, and I am super happy with what I got... opinions are just opinions...

zJatoRad 10-20-2008 11:53 PM

sounds good, no more bashing.

btw, wassup with the D8? just stopped by the thread and saw a lot of comments of people having durability problems with the driveshafts?

I haven't had any problems yet but some other guys are... HPI/Hot Bodies is replacing all four cvd's to the people with the issues... but I called them and talked to Chris Lugo, he said to email him my Tower Hobbies invoice so they can have it in file... and if I have any future problems they will send me four new replacement cvd's... excellent cust service!!! :)

Hyper 9

I have got the chance, to run the hyper 9 and I just have to say awesome! The Car is more easier to drive and jumps very well. I got the Info that the Car is finished, but there are still small problems with the Arms. I think they will be available soon.

Briguy 10-22-2008 01:10 PM

What kind of problems with the arms ? Think they would have all the tweaks and bugs worked out by now .

Nitrohouse 10-22-2008 01:33 PM

They've been trying different composites to find the best overall material...Some have been to brittle, and some too flexy...

I've heard they found the magic recipe, and things are going well...Hopefully soon now...

Briguy 10-22-2008 01:43 PM

Can`t wait . I really liked the H8 except for some wear issues but surely going to get the 9 .

MadRacer 10-22-2008 08:38 PM

Ahh. I waited this long i guess a anither month or 2 won't hurt me.

I DO really think this 9 will be a winner.

They have got better with every model.

I still want one.:nod::nod::nod:

I guess that would mean they were not happy with the composite used on The 8.5? I didn't hear about any issues with that, actually never heard of issues with any of the Hobao arms, but i guess i haven't been following close enough. i know I never had any problems with my Hyper 7 arms, and My Hyper ST arms seem fine also, and God knows I crash more than a blind cyclist.

D8 10-22-2008 09:56 PM

I've never broken any susp arms on my H7 or my H8...

Briguy 10-22-2008 10:08 PM

I never broke any either , they just seem to wear fast like the hinge pin holes and inserts .

Jaz240 10-22-2008 10:13 PM

i guess they are trying to make them even better than before, like Steve Austin
