I think the light blue falls between the lime green and blue and the green between the purple and limegreen.

Man its really hard to get an answer to this question...

Does the SE kit of the mp9 come with most of the upgraded parts that were known for breaking?

Default Parts

The SE does come with the updated bulkheads, and the fix for the lower front arms(washers), I think that was the only problems.........There is an updated top upper arm , but Im not sure if they come with the kit. I am almost positive, if you get a newer kit it should have them. You will be very satisfied with the upgraded kit.

Matijhis,

Did you have to use a lot of preload clips on the new green springs in the rear???

depends on the shock position, I always have them in the outer hole on the rear arm so you need some clips. I didn't drive with the new springs, just got them from Japan. I'm rebuilding my car at the moment for the last race of our championship. Next weekend some testing with the springs.

So can anyone who has some good experience with the car tell me what are the major issues you run into? I have never owned a kyosho and have always heard good things about the quality and performance. The downside is that i have heard mixed reviews on the mp9 which has turned me away multiple times from buying one.

Thanks for the input in advance

The car is really trouble free, the fit and finish is really good. The car performs very well. Very stable. Acceleration is great, and it turns and jumps great. The car reacts to even the smallest adjustments, so you should find a setup that works for you. Give the car a try, you will like it.

Since I got the TKI kit in oktober 2008 there were a few issues with the car. The bulkhead was too soft, causing pignon/diff failure. This has been updated with the C version. Front upper arms cracked or had excessive play, updated as well, B version. Also rear hubs (never had a problem with those, but there is a hard version B), and the inserts (now coloured and tighter). Rear suspension holder is in CNC version available, also the upper arm holder. To be on the very safe side the rear univerals are available in 93 mm, to prevent them from popping out with extreme droop and toe-in.

Don't know exactly what is included and fixed in the SE kit but I'm sure most is.

Hiya Ottofung,

There is to be a Brushless conversion kit that basically provides the radio tray, motor mount and battery mounts so you can convert any mp7.5, mp777, mp9 or st-r, st-rr vehicles.

The conversion kit doesn't come with motor or esc so you'll need to source these items yourself.

This conversion kit is exactly the same as what you will find in the inferno VE box.

If you already own a mp9, I think this is a better chassis to convert from, rather then the VE, which is a mp7.5.

Shalom and God Bless!

Hi,

Thanks. I actually have a VE and a MP9. Just wondering if I can use the VE brushless part (battery tray/receiver box/motor mount etc.) and drop them into MP9 and hope they fit.

If the brushless part of VE is identical to the upcoming conversion kit (IFW451), then they shall fit MP9, so I can start the conversion now

Thanks!

Default Clutch shoes

After a season of running the the Mp9 what are the general thoughts on types of clutch shoes and springs to run, all i've tried is kyosho silver with 1.0 springs with Kanai EVO 4. Tracks are either dirt, grass or astroturf, any thoughts would be appreciated.
