"More new products from the RCX show in California as US Magazine RCCA spotted a new competition truggy on the Tamiya stand. Named the TRF801X, this is still a concept car and as such there is little more concrete information known about it other than it will be aimed squarely at the competition market. It looks that Tamiya has perhaps smartly skipped the over crowded buggy market to get a head start on the still emerging truggy market."

We'd need to see some under-the-body shots to see what she's really made of, but speaking purely for myself, I have misgivings about Tamiya.
They seem to have a knack for being substantially pricier than the competition, without necessarily being better performance-wise. I have to give Tamiya two big thumbs up for quality/craftsmanship though, and they generally always come out with some of the prettiest bodyshells.
