The losi driveshafts are at about the same angle. The angle doesnt make the shafts break.

The rear drive shaft is not even on an angle. The front on the 808 looks to be more of an angle than the Losi. I have not had the 808 in my hands yet though.
The angle doesn't help matters any..

Don't start talking like the 808 is the best thing since sliced bread until it starts winning and proves it's self.
Don't get me wrong I'm sure it will be a great buggy, but those drive shafts at that angle are going to break plain and simple.
trust me im not on the 808s nuts lol in just saying theres more then just Sartel racing them and nobody else is having the problem

it doesn't raise the mass ....the engine is the most heavy part on the buggys
it's obvious that tilting the engine, puts the CG lower
just look at the picture
the head is lower, the all engine body too
just a few light weight fins could reach higher when not milled off..
But the bottom of the engine is raised with the top is lowered. I believe the bottom has more mass, creating a oxy moron.

I like the XTreme RC mag Chick decal on the wing in the fist picture.

It's hard to tell from the pictures if the inboard motor mount is lower than normal to match the increase in height of the outboard mount. If that is the case, then one offsets the other and there is a zero sum difference relating to CoG.

I'm not saying this is what they did as I can't prove it but it is a reasonable assumption based in the relationship between the axis of the center diff and the clutchbell/crankshaft. If all they did was raise the outboard mount without lowering the inboard mount, then the clutchbell/crankshaft axis would be higher than the center axis of the center diff. Looking at the pictures, although from a less than ideal perspective, this does not appear to be the case.

The engine is rotated. I does not raise the mass at all. The left side mount may be higher but the right side is way lower. The rear driveshaft passes over the right sine engine mount. Overall the mass is lower and towards the center.

Default Hyper 9

The Hyper 8 and Hyper 8.5 pro are awesome buggies straight out of the box..I think Tim really did his homework here..
The Hyper 9 looks like it is going to be a major contender..

It has started... Wheeler laid the smack down at the RC Pro Southern Region Round 1 this past weekend. Nobody was even close...
