Imagine the waterproofing and the stress on the engine running for a full 8 hours.
At least 2 gallons used per truggy
Total 32 truggies but in the end only less then 10 managed a full 8 hours

The race consist of 4 drivers per team and a mininum 1 hour per driver then free and easy as u stand in the rain for the pit team which explains u can't see the crowd near the track lol.
Weather is gr8 here in singapore for rc. Sun or Rain! everyday .
I'll post more action pics if i get hold on any .

It was a great race. 4 drivers per team and the drivers had to change every hour. We started in the morning at 8.30 and it was nice and hot. Then it started to rain on the 3rd hour and all hell broke loose. Engine flamed out and we've got to come up with something to protect the air filter. It got so bad that the rain filter couldn't work lol.. Some of us used plastic bottle, cut it into half and cover the air filter.. Overall, good experience and very tiring cos the teams had to marshall their own trucks..
1st - GS XUT with OS Speed (the engine was brand new and at the end of the race, there's no compression left lol)
2nd - KYOSHO ST-RR with Sirio (was leading until the diff gears gave up on them)
3rd - LOSI Eight with V-Spec (was in the contention throughout the race)

So how much did it cost (average) to finish that race? You guys must have deep pockets

As uwadockers mention the winner burned a new OS Speed just for the race .
Average cost per driver would be $200usd. Since its a team of 4.Everyone chipped in for a new engine and u can share a kit to race it. Or u buy a rtr kit and try to bulletproof it.Its really a test off the machine . Not many rtr can last 4 hours off hard racing.
