NOVAROSSI SURVEY
Dear Friends
I would like some feedback about the Novarossi brand ,all your concerns etc may it be price ,performance, reliability to many engines to choose from which confuses people anything that you guys think needs to be addressed to Novarossi .
The reason for this is that we at cobra have completed our testing and we have found no problems with any of the engines we have tested may it be bearings etc etc as long as they were run in properly and top quality fuel is used we had no problems.
The engines we tested were the following .
35 plus 21
plus 2 359
plus 2 353
plus 2 367
plus 21 7bt
plus 21 5
plus 12 3ct
plus 21 5kt
N21 2001BF
WE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE ABOVE METIONED ENGINES.
We now would like your feedback from anyone around the world who uses the Novarossi product because the end user is the most important and not the importer or the factory but you who ends up using the product .
I will lodge all your concerns with Novarossi when i meet with them at nuremburg for the toy fair and Italy afterwards.
Please keep it clean as these concerns will go direct to the CEO of Novarossi who is a female and swearing and stuff like that will not be tolerated .
please also no one line answers i want serious reponses from people ok.
ok so lets here it all and please keep it professional and clean
regards Angelo

The general consensus is to get a better bearing supplier, fast.

+1 on the bearings issue...
It hasn't affected me directly yet, but I hear about it so often that it has me worried... I've only put a gallon on my new-to-me PLUS 21-5K.
I had a wonderful experience with my old modded P5 and more recent P5X (11 gallons on it and still runs great).
I'd like to see more improvements in their online product support - I.e. english language engine/product knowledgebase, with every model covered. Any kind of known issues/fixes/resolutions/service bulletins should be published in it.
Their forum is off to a good start, but a more searchable and concise knowledgebase would be great (Documentation logically indexed according to engine model or part number - this could/should be fed in by Customer Support tickets, Manuals, Production Run Change Documentation, FAQs, etc...)
Tell her that I don't mind paying a 'premium' for a high performing quality / dependable product. Keep the quality control a top priority.

I feel that what everyone is saying is that the bearing issue should have been addressed better by a company with the tradition and reputation that Novarossi has.
Most of the people today is aware of the bearing issues from third parties who made comments on forums and like, but at least I have not seen any statement directly from the manufacturer.
I heard (again from the rumor mole) that they are planning to reduce prices in 2008, if true, I can only guess is would be to compensate for the bad publicity.
I guess I don't mind the higher prices but expect a better product and that means quality not only with the product but also regarding customer relationship

Everything about novarossi engines are good expirience, except two things : rising glowplug price and sucks bearings lifetime ( replaceable but at sucks price ).

if they were changing the price because the dollar has changed against the Euro, the price would be increasing, not decreasing

Prices already dropped before 2008. If you had checked prices a few weeks back and now, they are lower. Some retailers didn't drop prices until later. I personally bought one item from Novarossiusa that was $20+ less the just by waiting till the weekend past. As for bearings. They have also fell. Check RB, there prices are now the most expensive IMO. As for the glowplug prices, buy Ninja or O.S. turbo plugs and then ask me if the Novarossi prices are too high.
My only change now would be to bring back short stroke buggy engine line up. I tired of only long stroke engines in different port configuration, and maybe one short stroke engine, if it still exists.

O.S and Ninja plugs are expensive too, and novarossi glow plugs are becoming like one.
