Default Novarossi S821B 8 port nitro % ?

what im wondering is can you use 30% in these engines.it says only 25% but i cant see a race motor not being able to use 30%.so any input would be helpful and does anybody else use this motor.thanks a .bunch

30% is perfect for this motor. That's what it comes shimmed for is 30%. Youll love it.

cool im putting it in my 8T.so pay no attintion to the manual 30 ic ok

30% will be fine. 25% is big in europe where the engine is made. But 30% is the standard here in the US. Before you bolt the motor on the truggy, be sure to count the turn's on the high end needle and the low end needle. You can do this by turning the needle all the way in and counting the turn's, this help's you find the factory setting if you should ever get out of tune.

If that engine is shimmed for 30%, there is no problem.

(Me) I would check the speck sheet then double check the shims with calipers. Most big blocks are shimmed at .60mm. I would shim at .75 for 30%.

The motor will run fine with set factory shims with 30%. Retune and just watch your temps.
