Alot of people are still driving them. At SIC this month there were a bunch of OCM's. Yes mugen parts (arms, diffs etc.) all fit. You can get parts at www.holeshothobbies.com. If you do not see what you need email me and ask. There is a ton of OCM stuff not listed yet.

I hope you got plenty of spare diff parts. Even with the upgraded diff parts, mine would go through diffs like no tomorrow. Also, the plastic parts wear pretty quick.

Its definitely a very good handling buggy, but longevity of parts is another story....

I haven't experienced the wear others on here talk about but that's just my experience. I owned an 8ight before buying the OCM...talk about wear! I was more than impressed with the Kaos and I think you will be too.

The diff internals would grind themselves to a halt. Now, I'm no noob. I've been in this hobby for well over 30+ years and racing since the 80s.

I rebuilt them many times in different ways, using techniques from other buggies/truggies I've built and they still grenaded themselves....

They said the problem was only with the original diff parts. I re-ordered diff parts and still had the same issues even after Alan had sent a "parts upgrade" kit....

I also haven’t experienced these issues. I race the buggy hard almost every weekend. I do have the newer pro buggy if that makes a difference.

Besides myself and 8 other Drivers piloting them all season, we also never experienced these problems. Usually a noob or two rocketing into an A-arm was about all we ever replaced. I sold 8 Rollers myself that we never had to scavenge parts from. I still have a couple EVO's set up just for kicks. Some of the best buggies we ever had, I just wish OCM had a better following here or more Sponsorships to give out!

bushyar

you must be doing something wrong shimming

since 2 years now, I personally still race now all the diffs with all internals
also all gears and bell, from my old ocm mkI PRO, rest being upgraded

basicely, I didn't replace any part yet
just the thin diffjoints, latest bulkheads has they come
and new shims and kyosho p6 o-rings this season
and all looks as new
I do put a little graphite powder with the oils in the diff though..

there certainly shouldn't be any problem
using the latest diffhousings and bulkheads

Default OCM

I ran the car for awhile and it handled great, but definatley had a quality issue. I only finished one main with it without something falling off of it or a rear diff going out. The diffs always went out during the longer races ounce they got hot.

I haven't seen or heard anything about OCM lately. How long does it take to get a distributor?
