CEN Matrix TR
#616
I have to say. I love my new TR! Ran the first race with it this weekend! This thing runs like a squirrel on crack. Running second and passed for the lead and sucked the fuel pressure line into the spur gear (laziness on my part). Considering I haven't raced in about three months and was racing against guys that race their trucks weekly. They're done once I get back on my game.
For anyone wondering about the SH RTR engine. It's killer! Side by side on an 80 foot straight and pulled an OS by 15 feet.
Can't wait to put the pins from Gene in the diffs.
What should I expect with the new diffs?

I'm pretty sure they're the same pistons.
Part # FF216
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Part # is GS230 and they are the same for truck and buggy.

The only thing different on my set-up is that I used 80wt gear oil in the front diff with no cross pins.

This past weekend, I ran in my first RC Pro Series -Wisconsin Race and the Matrix was running great. I qualified in the B Main and was running well, trying to get the bump, when my lower servo saver piece broke. I am running the aluminum top piece. Better luck next time
My front end sits a little lower than I would like(sometimes digging in on jumps, but it handles great in the corners. I am running 60wt with the number 1 piston and no shock spacer. When I put a spacer in it pushed very wide in the corners. Would you recommend trying something like 40 wt with a #1 piston???? (I have 40 wt with #2 in the rear)
Thanks

I forgot to mention, when I soften the front shock oil, I want to put a spacer in to raise the ride hight but still keep the tight steering.

What are some front shock oil/piston combos people are using with the small spacer and stock green springs?

The Mugen & Xray shock clips will fit.

is anyone else having probs with the tank not staying closed in a tumble? it seems like every time out i notice fuel all over the under side of my lid, and around the tank on the truck... i know its not fuel ive spilled, and the tank is like new so its not cracked, i looked.
ive noticed the lid doesnt fully seat into the tank? it seems like that could be a problem in longer races where you have to refuel?
anyone else notice this?
maybe i have a bad tank? any tips?
