Don't get me wrong, I really like the car. However, every time you turn around Horizon is pushing the expected delivery/in stock dates for all the key accessories back a couple weeks or months. They aren't the only ones that do it, but they seem to do it more than most. Waiting for a car design to be perfected is one thing, but waiting for a key upgrade that gives everyone problems and things like filter elements is something else Especially, when some of the delays are keeping peoples cars sitting on shelves.

Agreed, i just dont know what's taking them so long on the rear bearing insert's.

Also, my LHS has about 20 Losi 8/8-T air filter elements on the shelf, which i didnt know, and i ended up getting the PSR filters from A-Main myself. Horizon can't control how many Bearing inserts and filters each individual shop will order, especially for those kits that the shops can barely keep in stock...

The only thing I hate about the Q concepts split center diff is the price. I'm sure losi could whip up a plastic one quite easily.

If you compare 55/35 wt rear oil with say 56/27.5wt the 56 piston setup will have more high speed compression damping, known as "pack" in RC circles. It will resist bottoming better, the car will ride a little higher in the ruts and it will be more stable. Weight transfer is slower with more pack so it might slow the handling of the car down slightly.

ari8, I am about to try Casey Peck's shock setup in my 8. It uses 55 piston up front with 32.5wt and 56's in the rear with 27.5. I was pretty happy with the drake setup but I am hoping this will make the car more planted at higher speeds. My car turns beautifully but feels "floaty" at higher speeds. Casey's setup can be found at www.rcsetups.com
