Default Savox Servo

Time has come for me to purchase and fit my servos on a Mugen MBX7R.
Here is my thinking:
Steering servo and throttle servo - Both Savox 1256TG.
Would that work? Is that a workable solution?

I don't believe those will be quite enough torque. for $20 more you could get the 1270tg. More torque, just a tad faster. Throttle servo anything less than .08 is a waste anyway.

I use the 1256tg for both steering & throttle/brake, to power them I use a 2s LiFe battery, 6.6v, they have worked well with plenty of torque & speed isn't to bad either, not as fast as HV servo's but fast enough, & using the 6.6v LiFe pack adds a little extra speed over 6v. I did have a 1258tg for throttle/brake a while back but it stuffed up so replaced it with the 1256tg.

I use the 1256 for steering and 58 for throttle, was going to go HV but I don't race just bash and they are quick and plenty of torque for my needs, just a Orion 6v powering them

That is a huge statement for an 1st post on an older topic.....
There was a period of bad motors quicly failing but today that issue is compleetly gone.

Once I had a dicussion with a guy who also thought Savox was bad but he loved his Team Orion 1007 servo which was actually under the label a Savox 1257TG as many brands are actually Savox rebranded..... That is the problem with brand fanboyz....

Plus one on the above statement. Proper servo selection per the application to be used on should have no issues. It’s when people try to go outside of specs that they reach issues.

Love my savox servos. Great bang for your buck. I've had zero issues with mine in all number of different vehicles. Currently using the 1270tg and 1273tg in my truggy and buggy. 1256tg in my E buggy.

Love my Savox servos also. They are quite louder than other brands but who cares. They have treated me well.

I said it last year on this thread, I'll say it again. I really like my 1268's. Never had a servo go out prematurely. You need the right servo for the right application, as well making sure you set them up correctly. That goes for any brand.
