This years electric offroad regional will be held at the new HobbyTown USA Hobbyplex 2.0 in Omaha, NE on our newly constructed indoor offroad track.
The date is October 21-23rd.
I'll have the the flier and online sign up page up soon, but I wanted to get this up on the forums right away.

I am down for sure. I know one thing that will not happen this time like the last time I attended a regionals and thats fall in a mud hole after it rained. some the other locals from Omaha were taking bets on who would fall first and when and they all pointed at me and guess what happened. Good times

Looking forward to this one!
I have a couple of questions, as I've never been to an official ROAR event:
Do we need to get a ROAR membership prior to the race or will there be an option for a one race/weekend membership?
Regarding the non-timing ESC, can you use an ESC with timing as long as the timing is disabled?
Are there any restrictions regarding tires? (I'm planning on running the 17.5 Buggy and Stadium Truck classes)
Are PT's required or will house transponders be available? I'm covered, but I have a friend that doesn't currently have one.
Sorry for all of the questions, but I'm just trying to get things squared away.
Thanks!

I have a couple of questions, as I've never been to an official ROAR event:
Do we need to get a ROAR membership prior to the race or will there be an option for a one race/weekend membership? I knew I forgot something. Yes, single event roar memberships will be available for $15.
Regarding the non-timing ESC, can you use an ESC with timing as long as the timing is disabled? Yes, that is what as known as blinky mode.
Are there any restrictions regarding tires? (I'm planning on running the 17.5 Buggy and Stadium Truck classes)No tire restrictions at a regional.
Are PT's required or will house transponders be available? I'm covered, but I have a friend that doesn't currently have one.Personals aren't required, but I wouldn't trust our house transponders not one tiny bit.

hmm, The airforce dropped a big inspection right on top of my plans to race the shortcourseshowdown in sept down here in Dallas so I might have to make this race. How restrictive will the rules be for batteries? I have two hardcase saddle packs for my Durango vehicles but neither have the "roar approved" stickers on them.
