Not much going on right now so, we will skip the January meeting. Next one will be on the first tuesday of Febuary.

Hey guys, Andy and I have been talking and would like to try to start an electric spec class for the onroad track here in lincoln. 17.5 blinky 4wd touring car. I know a lot of people have kinda been tinkering with the electric touring car so I think all it would take would be everybody actually bringing those cars on the same nights instead of one here and there.

But just want everybody to know that I will be bringing my car out so if anybody else is interested.

Also, what do you guys think about 17.5 spec versus 13.5 spec?

I think it would be great to have an electric class on a regular basis. But, I think we need to see what everybody wants to run. I doubt that there would be enough to run more than one class so, we need to make sure we are running a class that will have the most interest.

ya i agree mark...i wanna see what others think. my thoughts are that 17.5 would be quick enough for people who are great at racing, while still allowing others to be competitve....maybe some kind of racing that is similar to USVTA

I would really like to see this happen guys. Maybe this can be something we bring up at the next meeting. Is there a lot of guys that show up to those meetings? I haven't been to one yet. But anyways, i'm going to set my car up for now with a 13.5 in hopes that that's what we go with. I like fast.

But I would like to see this happen so if anybody else sees this, bring your electric cars out!

Do have the dates for the Fireball race, I have some out-of-towners wanting to attend this race.
What about adding a class or two for the electric guys???

I have some Nitro guys from out of town that would like to attend.

13.5,17.5(open ESC) or mod, just a thought.

what about 17.5 stock sedan?

We've run 10.5 "Blinky" with 13.5 Open ESC in the past. If it's a spec class it should be "Blinky", and I'd prefer 13.5 over 17.5. On the other hand, I'd like to see a 17.5 TC class get going again at the 'PLEX , so 17.5 might be better.:)

If I had to put in a vote, it'd be for 13.5 "Blinky"

hey tim would 13.5 be too much motor for a tub style chassis. also, do you know who would be willing to come down from omaha to race this class...cause maybe we should tailor this class to something that we all could agree on...just my thoughts on this. glad to see that there is some interest in running electric onroad in lincoln!

Thought there was some talk last year about moving it off this date for some to make the Texas Biggie ..............:batman:

It was talked about but it was decided to leave it on its normal weekend, Memorial Day weekend.
