I am a little confused on the correct orientation of which side the crown ring goes when putting the diff in the gear box/bulkhead. The manual shows on the right/passenger side. In all my other 1/8 cars it goes on the left. Not sure if this is an issue because you can simply reverse the motor if they spin wrong way.

The motor is in mounted the same in my Sworkz as in my Tekno.
Did any of you have to shim the diffs when putting a new kit together? I found it was spot on without any, tried to put 1 shim in and it only made the gears louder it seemed. I’ll probably have to change diff oil thickness once I run it, I stayed with the kit oil and seems most are using 300 to 500 on center and a higher in the front as well. |
Let’s see some MT410 pics.

I didn't have to put any shims in mine. And like i agree run it a pack or 3 and check things out.

How does this do on lawn grass? Planning to run it in my backyard. Thanks!

Both look fantastic. Mind if I ask, how did you make the long wheelbase? I'm heavily considering the MT410 as my first kit build in decades but I'm curious about the longer wheelbase.
it looks like the stock ET48.3 chassis, but is reasonably stiffer. I am not running any aluminum chassis brace with it to keep lite and with some flex. Very happy with how it handles. |

Hi All,
I bought myself a Christmas gift, my first monster truck build, an MT410. I have also ordered Dboots 'Back-Flip Mt 6S' Pre-Mounted Tires and wheels, a receiver, and a servo. I am thinking about Arrma 4s Outcast Kraton Spektrum 120Amp Brushless Smart ESC and 2400Kv Motor Arrma 4s Outcast Kraton. Any feedback? Also thinking of the Proline C10 body. Any feedback? Thank you! |

Tires: I’d look at the “backflips LP” - similar to the ones you selected except they are “low profile”. The regular ones are very tall and I found them to be too large for my taste. The LP version has been my go-to for a long time for 8th scale bashers. Motor and ESC: the setup you selected seems reasonably priced and should work ok. However, I usually select either Hobbywing, Castle, or Tekin for the esc and motor. People have strong brand preferences but I’ve tried all three and all work pretty well. As a casual basher (ie not a racer) I do favor Castle. |
MT410 sale?
I've been considering getting the MT410 as I've been wanting to do a 4WD basher build and it's one of the few that still offers a kit. However, I noticed the SCT410.3 and the MT410 both went on sale. Then the SCT410.3 was replaced by the SCT410SL.
Does this mean the MT410 is going to be retired/replaced? The last thing I want to do is buy a kit I can't buy replacement parts for. I know the MT shares parts with the ET48 cars, but there's a few parts that aren't shared like the suspension arms. Anyone have any advice? |

I bought my MT410 over a year ago and it was "on sale," it has been "on sale" for about a year and a half now. Same goes for the SCT410.3, before it was discontinued it had also been "on sale" for about a year and a half.
