Raced mine for the first real outing since getting it built and love it. The kit calls for 100k and 50k in the diffs but I wonder if going lower would help me in tight lower speed turns. I can "gooch the throttle" and rotate it but that isn't consistent. The truck drives great but the low speed turning is killing me. It was suggested to try 60/60/30 to start with. Ideas? https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...82bd86e1a.jpeg

are you racing it as a monster truck, truggy or a short course truck?

Hey everyone. My kit just showed up today so looking to get started on this soon. Was reading through the instructions and everything seems pretty straight forward. One thing I noticed they didn’t mention though was any sort of diff break in. Is this not necessary or am I just missing an obvious procedure?

Good Day All,
I am new to the Tekno MT410 family.
I have been running a heavy mod Traxxas Slash 4x4 for the past 2 years, my wife running slightly mod Slash 4x4. I wanted something better as in quality and handling. I was looking at the Losi LST 3XL-E, but i love to build. I watched a few videos and read a lot on the Losi and decided it wasn't for me. Started reading a lot on the Tekno MT410 and just about every video I watched put the MT410 on top.
So I ordered a kit from Amain Hobbies last night. Looks like my wife is going to get my mod Slash.
Can't wait to start building, but i will take my time since I really don't have much time as it is.
I know I will have a ton of questions but in the meantime I will try to read through this thread.

This truck is an absolute beast on 4S! Running a T8 1700 kV motor, RX8 version 1, 15T pinion with stock spur, and T300 servo. Already scratched the body from being on its lid a few too many time since it wheelies at will! Lost 2 body pins, lost two nuts/screws off rear bumper, started breaking the glue on the front tires, and center diff started to leak a little bit........I LOVE THIS TRUCK!

Hi,
Reading about servo's is getting me cross eyed.
What is a good servo (over 400 oz-in) for the MT410?

The Savox 1270tg is my go to servo for 1/8 truggy/truck steering, and it's what I put in my MT410 also.

I have begun racing mine in friendly events against buggies and truggies and it is a perfect match for the local track.

Recently installed the ProModeler DS630BLHV at the following link. It feels well made, uses steel gears and does not require an extension wire to reach the receiver. Installation required opening up the hole for the servo wire since the wire exits higher than most servos. Also, enlarged the mount opening so the servo did not touch the sides of the mount. After it was mounted, a shim was added on the steering lever to make sure the servo link was flat.

Wondering if anyone knows if this is normal for the truck:

Whenever I turn the wheels all the way in either direction and go faster than a few mph, I hear a clicking noise, similar to if the spur gear was chipped. Is that normal and does anyone have a possible explanation for that?

I run the T8 2000KV Truggy motor and a RX4 with a 4S Turnigy 5000 Heavy Duty pack. Works amazing. Anything past 3/4 throttle means wheelies at any speed.

Sounds like something with the steering stops, either not installed properly or not installed at all. If those are installed correctly (4 per side stock), might want to check for any binding in the drive axles. If there's no binding in the front drive axles or hubs, etc, then it's time to check the front diff for a blown bearing on one side.
