Hello, this is a real long shot, but Ive obtained an EB48.3. Is it possible to convert into an MT410?

Yes, you would need the shock towers, shocks(Might be able to use the ones from the EB) driveshafts and turnbuckles from the MT410, arms from the ET48, and the bumpers/body mounts from the SCT410.

If you want the proper differentials and pinions, you would need to pick those up from the ET48/MT410. They have a lower tooth ring gear and a smaller pinion.

Pretty sure the rear shocks for the ET are unique to the ET/MT. The fronts are the rear of the SCT, I think.

Sounds cheaper to sell it on and buy an MT haha. Thanks

Yep. Very likely! I scored mine on Tower a few months back with a code for $399 shipped. Not to say you can't get everything you need, eBay is great, but it adds up.

Evening,

I am currently running a HW 4068 2250kv on 4S. 15t pinion keeps temps decent with 3.8 Badlands, but throw a pair of MX Badlands on and you get a frequent thermal shutdown. I think the HW ESC shutdown at a motor temp of 225 or so. I've been keeping my temp gun in the pocket, but I am not generally interested in worrying about it. Pre run my temps on the can and ESC can be over 90 degrees where I am.

Its plenty fun the way it is, but I like the bigger tires sometimes. And I'd like to throw a 6S on when the day calls for it.

I was considering a HW 4272 or Tekin truggy can. But I see people suggesting motors like the TP4070 and such. Looking at the TP4070, it looks like the 3Y 1520 and 5D 1700 might be the most suitable 6s motors? Anything else in particular I should be looking at? I don't mind relocating the ESC.

Thanks!

I have had good luck with both the TP4070 and the Poseidon 1527 in my speed Truggy but I just don't like the idea of the long can hanging out there in a basher. I am aware plenty of people are running them with no issues but I just can't get over the idea of all of that leverage on the motor mount. I am currently running the Tekin 1350kv Truggy motor on 6s in my MT410 an couldn't imagine needing more power or speed. I have a 16 tooth pinion on it currently and have no heat issues whatsoever running Pro-Line Mashers.

Others that have used them relocated the ESC to allow clearance for the longer can on the motor.

I see and I agree about the motor hang and leverage on the mount.

On my 4092’s I took old nitro motor mounts shaved rubber from an old bushing and bam motor mount like we do to our real cars.

The 4070 is 107mm tall, I am not sure anyone needs such a powerfull motor on the MT410 which is pretty small compared to the xxl2 and the savage xl, or the arrma big rock.

Because they can? Hah, an upgrade should be motivated some how, and I don't see how HPI is crap, the savage xl once modded is one of the best if not the best trucks kid.

Currently have a hobbywing 4272 2200kv motor and xerun pro. It's s tight but it fits, I'm also running it on 6s but I haven't had a chance to run it hard yet.
