Hey Im new to the nitro game and loving it. I was wondering about aluminum bulkheads I bought for my T-maxx, should I use threadlock on my stainless steel screws? or will this make it impossible to get them out? Im guessing no, but would like some input from someone who knows.
Thanks guys

Use blue threadlock on all screws that thread into metal. This includes engine backplate screws but not head screws...

So you dont have any problems getting the screws out, when you need to? I remember a electric touring car, I built along time ago, and I used thread lock on the steel screws, I screwed them into a aluminum bulkhead, and when it came time to take apart the car, the screws wouldnt come out and I think I ended up stripping just about every head on the screws, finally had to drill them out
I learned my lesson, but I know the nitro game is different.

Make sure it is blue locktite you use and not red. Some applications may call for red, but then you will need to heat up the screw to remove it and that's not always easy. I use a soldering iron to heat up red locktited screws. You can even use heat on blue locktite but it should come back out fairly easy. Make sure you are using high quality screws and hex drivers...

i used to use the red stuff, but after i kept stripping screws, i used the medium strength, green i believe. i mostly use the blue stuff though. only medium strength on things i usually don't remove.

i havent seen screw set for tmax i just used a savage stainless screw kit part # re 6701 hope this helps
