A large piece of dogshit rolled up in a page from the local newspaper would be an improvement over the CEN 7.7

Stick an Mgt 8.0 motor in there or another .32+ size motor as was suggested. Nitro motors are fairly reliable, for the most part. Its getting harder to find a bad nitro motor. They dont have the small displacment gas engines figured out yet obviously, so stick with nitro untill they get it all figured out. A good nitro motor, even a smaller displacement motor than the 7.7, will out perform the CEN motor. Its junk. The rest of those trucks are awesome, motor is crap.

Why so serious....?

Anywho...this project is getting scrapped for now....if you guys say the motors are junk then I'll just let it sit until Losis engineers figure it out. So I'll be waiting a while :(

$800 for a toy you can't use will make 99% of people pretty serious about it. I was at the track recently and a guy was running a nitro 8ight and I was so impressed with how it ran, idled, and it's power. Yes smaller rig but after owning the XXL-2 for a brief stint it's power belongs in a 1/10 scale not a 1/8. Had I kept it I would have eventually converted to nitro or electric. If losi wants to put the money in it the next one might be better. Just depends on how many they sell and from the low Internet traffic on it now that it's out I don't think they are selling a lot. There was a lot more interest pre release vs post. That tells you something.
