I have always had great luck with venom, there support and cost seems to be the best, does anyone have any other ideas? looking for a 2s 25c-30c or better, deans connector, dimensions 138mmX45mmX24mm, best cheap battery.

SMC is the way to go from what I hear. I live in Canada so its tough to get them so I normally go with venoms or the duratrax onyx as I can get them for reasonable prices locally. They have always worked well for me, not to mention venoms warrenty is top notch.

I gotta thumbs down gens ace, but that's just one guys experience with them so take it for what its worth. I have had 2 of their batteries and they both puffed after a handful of packs under minimal amp draw.
With that being said it could have been a bad batch or whatever so if the majority like them then disregard my opinion.

You really can't go wrong with SMW or ProMatch. Both are small domestic businesses (using the same Chinese made cells as everyone else). They offer excellent customer service, excellent performance, and a reasonable price tag.

The only advice I can accurately give is that Turnigies and other hong kong batteries are not really worth it anymore. You can get the same quality, most often better, batteries from inside the US. SMC among other companies are within the US and you'd be much happier with at least some customer service if you batteries fail. When you buy lipos straight out of hong kong, you have no options.

Guys i really appreciate the opinions. I did watch a video by Jang at ultimaterc.com and he was doing a bunch of different testing and the spc seemed to catch my eye over the others but i will take it all in and choose the best with my budget and what not.

Well when the hpi ones normally run between 85-100 dollars a piece and I found one for 60 that to me is a good deal. I know there is cheaper and better I just wanted something that I was sure would fit and be right for the truck.
