Ok ive changed my mind again but my mind is set. Ive decided to go ahead and get the savage. For now thats the one im getting until the Losi XXL 2 comes out then im buying that truck if the reviews are good on it, and until i can see some vids on it. Then if i buy that one later i may sell the savage or i may keep i will cross that bridge when it gets here, but for now its savage x 4.6 for me! Thanks for all the replies!

I'm not even gonna read the rest of this thread. Herrsavage your a d-bag someone recommends an e-truck and you trip out and basically say that brushless is stupid and the Nitros are the best thing since sliced bread. STFU nobody cares what your opinion is you are such a tool and everyone knows it.

I love both electrics are much easier once you get older and don't have time to mess with them all the time
Nitro is just as fun but does require more maitnence.

Don't get an erevo if you go electric they require to many mods to make reliable.
And this comes from experience I have an erbe that I've dumped $1500 into just so it doesn't break every time I drive it.

Go savage they don't handle as well but they are way more durable and big blocks hold their tune much better than the p.o.s. traxxas 3.3

mydudrevo, you hit the nail on head... and i agree herrsavage is a DORK

Not true.

As i stated my mind is now set on the savage 4.6, Im not even thinking electric because like i said in my original post i already have a electric 2wd slash vxl. Im just wanting the nitro to go along with it so i will have one of each.

Whatever... I bash on my E-Revo pretty hard and it holds up to a lot of abuse. Each to their own and all but don't be all butt hurt because you dropped $1500 on yours and still managed to break stuff. A few shims in the diffs and shafts from a Summit is all you really NEED to do.

Agreed, I think the E-revo is a decent platform. Perhaps a bit expensive, but decent none the less.

mydudrevo 01-31-2014 04:25 PM

The e-Revo is not anywhere near the quality of the savage or lst platform so you can deny it all you want but there are plenty of people that someday realize they are junk. But honestly all of them are junk compared to 1/8 truggy and buggy kits. Ill never buy another rtr mt. Well maybe the xxl2 but truggies and buggies are way more durable and more gun to drive than any of the rtr stuff.

I disagree with this i know you talking the e revo but my slash 2wd vxl is a rtr and it is very fun to drive! Ive flippled it hard landed big jumps hard and have never broken anything. If you saying traxxas in general is junk that is an overstatement! No way anyhow traxxas is considered junk!! And the only reason im not going with another traxxas like the revo is because i just want a nitro in another brand and the savage 4.6 from what ive researched is about as good as they get.

Like what you want to like but saying the E-Revo is junk is plain wrong, you can deny that all you want but I have fun with mine and like I already said, I'm not all that kind to it and it doesn't break all the time. I don't go slamming it into walls at 50mph but I do plenty of big jumps and it handles them just fine. The LST is alright but you need to convert it and I'm not interested in that and the Savage has it's own problems. IMO the Savage and the E-Revo are just as durable as eachother. Go play with your Truggies and Buggies and stop being a hater...

LosiPRRACER 01-31-2014 11:50 PM

Who the hell puts a plastic chassis on a $600+ Eletric monster? especially that can run 6 cell. i broke about 5 plastic chassis of the E-revo and so many of the crappy plastic driveshafts, so for 600 odd you get plastic chassis and driveshafts, weak arms and more....

Herrsavage 02-01-2014 12:06 AM

I've had a bunch of buggies and truggies, and still, after eight years or so in RC, THE best RC I have ever had is my first RTR LST2. Buggies and truggies develop slop in such a way that you have to replace a bunch of stuff periodically, whereas with an MT it doesn't matter as much. Plus, I just like a 2-speed.. My LST2 is nearly seven years old, and a lot of it is still original... You'd have to completely rebuild (or replace..) a buggy or truggy 2-3 times in that period.. (And yes, I have replaced a fair bit on my LST2 in that time too, but still..) My SC8 is also very good, and yes, buggies and truggies are great too and have a simple layout, etc.. and don't have as much on them that can go wrong, but not all RTR MT's suck. Losi has always offered awesome RTR's...

HPI Savage RTR's are decent for what they are.

Traxxas, IMO, is overpriced, overplasticy, and underdurable out of the box.. I know some people like them, and that's fine. But I wouldn't spend my money on one.

The hate is strong in you. My guess is you're a terrible driver... I've broken a few driveshafts but for what I was doing I wasn't surprised they broke. I have never broken a chassis and again for what I do I wouldn't have been surprised if I had. A plastic chassis isn't necessarily a bad thing, they won't bend like aluminium and they take a fair beating, most of the money you pay for a ERBE is in the motor and ESC anyway. But I digress, all you're doing now is trolling. Be gone troll.
