Just a quick savage 21/25 question
OK! I've had my savage for 2 years now. 2 months ago, i killed the 21 engine, so replaced it with a Ho Bao Hyper 21 turbo job. It ran ok for a couple weeks before burning out the slipper clutch. I replaced and upgraded a lot of parts, including the engine, again, but to a HPI 25. I've got it running sweet, good top end, quick off the mark, but it WILL NOT WHEELIE!!!!! i can run it rich, lean, or inbetween, but no luck so far. Any ideas at all anyone?? Cheers guys!!

That .21 is a wheelie making machine Hyper .21 7port by chance? The Pipe/header combo must be just right for the Hyper engine to make alot of torque in the lower rpm`s,but it must just be a little off for the .25 to make any power down low,A guy at the track told me once to use a long header for a short track, and a short header for a long track, meaning longer pipe=more power down lowBut the same pipe/header will have a different effect on different engines.

I like my savage 25 again.....all I had to do is buy it a motor saver air filter and three gearbox and a SS pipe........oh man, ran it today again...that thing pops wheelies like nothing. and it's a .25 motor!

First gear must be insane with that.25 engine

try running it rich, i remember mine wheelied at rich with a motorsaver air filter. but it will cost you speed at long distances.

I've tuned the .25 to get some mad top speed, and quick off the line go. everytime i run it, it seems to get closer to wheelies when it gets down to half a tank of juice(running leaner??) I run standard 2 speed, with a purple ally HPI tuned pipe, standard header and quikfire plug
