Default Losi lst bottom plates

Hi,

I noticed there are two options for bottom plates. One is called HD and the other has cut outs. Apart from the HD having more metal over the mid are there any other differences, thickness?

I like the one with openings, they will allow dirt to fall out.

All are the same thickness and same material as stock. The HD offers more protection, the other is their "race" as they're lighter and both are obviously hard anodized. Losi also offers top plates that are hard anodized and also offered carbon fiber top plates and chassis. I forget the name but there is a full carbon fiber kit for the LST, chassis, top plates and all 3 skidplates.

yes, I've seen a lot of different plates over forum ant the net.
Thinking of gettting thos e"race" ones.

Another question, I tried the rpm arms I have today and it made my front toe out extreme. On further inspection the rpm a-arm is longer than stock.

Is that so, and if, then why, or did I get an monday-mold?

I've never seen anything mentioned about the lower RPM arm being longer than stock. The upper arm is obviously adjustable to tune camber. Is it that much longer where you don't have any adjustment left in the tie rod to get proper toe?

I put the stocks back so I cannot really measure the difference. But somewhat 5mm longer.

Not sure if I would still be able to have threads left for the tie rod. Never tried...
This was a surprise, I will email rpm and check.

Jsut a word on the skids - I wouldn't use the one without a cut out on the rear as I reckon it would 'scoop up' a lot of dirt.

You could be right. It still might be worth a try as dirt gets in from top anyway.
I also saw a rear spefic HD plate. So many plates so little time
