Default Anyone running a hobbywing EZRUN-WP-SC8 in their 1/10 E-Revo?

I'm looking to go with a waterproof ESC in my erevo and found this hobbywing. It is only 120amps and i know the mamba monster 2 is also 120amp but i dont want to spend the money on a castle system. Anyone run these or have any info?

I got one in my solid axle monster truck
I'm running a Hobbywing 2350kv on 7,2v or 14,4v
Mad Force axles and a 3906 2speed gearbox
Only thing you need to remember when using NiMh batt's is that it's set for LiPo cut off as stock
Oh and if you running on loads of water you need to remove the fan
and beach sand can interfere with the fan

thanks for the replies. Ill be running 2 2s LiPo's. I am just afraid that the 120a speedo wouldnt be enough for such a heavy truck. Anyone else?

While theoretically the SC8 will work I'd look at the next step up:

http://www.falconsekido.com/products/xerun-150a-sd

Water resistant (not proof) but unless you are going underwater I wouldnt worry too much

I agree that the 150a esc would be a safer choice. I run my revo on 4s and haven't had any problems with my 120a esc powering a 4074 motor. I do know that it is borderline though, I had the esc from another project and wouldn't be upset if it went up in smoke.

To be 100 percent safe get a 150a or more esc.

I've run one in a Summit on 4s and it's been fine, almost bulletproof, using a 1900kv 4 pole motor and 13t pinion. As long as you don't gear these things crazy, you should be fine, the Mamba Monster I recall is only a 100A ESC (Constant)

The MM2 is a 120a ESC. I have been looking for a 150a esc but would really like water proof. I dont plan on forging any rivers but if i go thru a puddle i dont want to worry about it. I also live in NY and would like to put paddles on it and run it in the snow.
