Default Break In

OK, im going to get a Revo in a few days, and i was talkting about it with him and he asked me which break in method am i going to do??
well the only way i know is just to let it idle on a few tanks or whatever the instructutions say.

He was TRYING to describe this other method where you drive it really slow like 2-5mph for 2-3 minutes and then it completly cool and then do it over andtill you do it for 15 minutes and then after 15 minutes you start to do 4-5 minute runs with varied speeds??

have you ever heard of this? whats the best way to break in a revo??

Go here.http://www.johnnycoolguy.com/JCGR/ma...break-in.html. I did this with my OS18tm and im on my 3rd gallon of 33% traxxas nitro fuel and it runs great.Still got plenty of compression. The piston and sleeve look great.

I guess this question fits here....

I'm breaking in my CEN Genesis, and I'm on the 4th tank of about 7 - 10.
After filling the tank and getting ready to go out and burn another tank, it started raining as soon as I locked my door.

Now I'm stuck in the house, full tank of fuel, and the instructions say don't let any nitro fuel sit in the tank.

What is a newbie (to nitro that is) to do?

I'd hate to waste a tank of fuel considering how big this tank is.

Will it hurt if I leave it in overnight?

just take the fuel line off the carb and plug it into the pressure fitting on the tank, you'll be ok for one night.the reason I say to loop the line like that is to prevent the fuel from being exposed to any air or moisture, nitro fuel is hydroscopic (it absorbs moisture out of the air) so as long as the fuel is sealed up airtight it'll be fine.(I'm sure it'd be fine even if you don't loop the fuel line, your choice).

i would do what dragonfire says, but if you dont feel comfortable with that, just empty your fuel bottle, squash all the air out, put the end in the tank, and suck all the fuel out again....easy. then disconnect fuel line from carb and exhaust and blow gently into the exhaust end of the fuel line and that will get rid of the remaining fuel. done.
