Default Locking e maxx diff?

Anyone done this before? Do they make diff lockers for the e maxx? Is there any other options? I just plan to do some scaling off road in the mountains nothing too big but I remember on my old maxx it wasnt that great in that part? Heavier diff oil? Any help is appreciated as I am a noob in the diffs

That will take the place of your diff and there will be no diff action, both wheels will be locked together.

You can always take apart your stock diff, clean it with some de-greaser and fill it with epoxy or JB weld. Both will accomplish the same thing but, if you buy the part from tower hobbies, you can always put the stock diff back in if you want too.

The spool is the best way to do it unless you can find a maximizer limited slip diff.

So just to make sure, i take everything out of the diff, replace it with this, and put the diff case on? So its just a diff case and this spool? If thats the case I am really mad i wasted $40 on diffs

Just go to a toy store and buy some silly putty..... Jam it in the diffs (front and rear). It will cost you $3 total. Remove with lacquer thinner when you want to add fluid when your done using the locked diffs. It works great to lock em', and its easy to remove it.

If you're crawling, do both.

You still have your ring and pinion gears, and bearings in the case, but the diff cup and spider gears are replaced with the spool.

A little, but at lower speeds you won't notice. I have a losi crawler that's pretty fast and it handles fine.
