Default Temp sensor help

Okay guys, I have digital temp sensor on my os.21tm on my revo. Problem is its reading really high in my mind. I have attached pics of the max reading I got today.

Now the problem is when Im reading say 270 on the sensor im only getting 200 220 at the plug with a IR heat gun. Do i have this sensor too close to the head?

Any help on this will be great.

Oh When i try and richen the HSN the truck bogs. It drives reall nice where I have it.. just the temps scare me.

I tried to post pics but i need a certin post count to attach URL's apparently

Move the sensor up a fin if the reading is too high, move it down a fin, if its too low.

Adjust until the temp sensor and temp gun are as close as possible.
