Hey milenko_76, those tractor tires look ginormous; what are they and how does the truck handle with them???? Or is that just a funny perspective in the photo that makes them look so tall?

milenko_76 07-18-2007 02:19 PM

They are off a toys r us truck my neighbor had. I got them to fit on the beadlocks. They handle great off road. They are really noisey. They are about the same hight as jumbo kongs and alot narrower. They aren't anywhere near the weight of jumbos either so there isn't much strain on the tranny. I did change out my chassis so I have to get updated pics on here. Those pics are a little old. Im now using a rc solution chassis and not the tmaxx chassis in those pics.

Anyone have the latest issue of RC car action magazine? There is an AD by traxxas about a new E-maxx? just an updated EVX2 and shocks or something. Anyways, not a big news since its basically the same ol' maxx.

xxx-ntad2 racer 07-26-2007 07:14 PM

yes! i finaly got an e-maxx. but i have a few questions.

1. i have the evx 14.4V esc. i was wondering if you can have two 7 cell batterys to that???

2. what have you guys done to get more steering out of the e-maxx. i know proline makes a steering upgrade. if anyone has one, lmk how it works.

thanks!!!

streetracer745 07-26-2007 07:17 PM

as far as i know you can use twin 7 cells. there is a thing on traxxas that shows you how to do it so.. i would think so. and the best thing is probly to just put a slightly longer steering horn on it for more turning

solardragon 07-26-2007 07:22 PM

ya it will handle the 2 7cell batts, but you may find you will need to start upgrading the drive train. i know you can get better servers for the E. not sure the name. blueline blubird or somethin mg 6700 or somethin. look on the traxxas emaxx threads

Rowdyray 07-26-2007 08:25 PM

This is something my son is considering. Here is the instructions to do it.

I'm wondering what the EVX-2 is capabale of.

citizendick1 08-01-2007 03:37 PM

yes buddy the emaxx can handle a pair of seven cells. watch your temps and be prepared to replace twisted axles and maybe a few idler gears.

streetracer745 08-01-2007 03:40 PM

it will take that and should be absolutely fine. possibly a new idler gear will be needed. but i think that would be it. and unless you are running in extreem heat and running full throttle constantly, i dont think temps will be too much of a problem

streetracer745 08-01-2007 03:41 PM

milinko_76 - what motor/esc is that? and how fast is it on twin nimh packs?

xxx-ntad2 racer 08-01-2007 08:25 PM

i will say the 7 cells do make a diverence. problem is is my 3500's(which are 7 cells) are more like 2700's now but my 42's are running good(there 6 cell). big improvement with the 7.

streetracer745 08-01-2007 09:18 PM

the 2 extra cells on a good battery set make a huge difference. i mean think of how much an extra cell adds on a single motor that typically runs on 6 cells. think of puting a 7th cell into a rustler or stampede. the power difference is very noticable in my opinion
