Hey guys like the title says I'm new to nitro new to nitro. I recently acquired a revo 3.3 and I'm having a hard time trying to tune it. For one if i hold the truck in my hand and rev it, it hits second gear no problem. But when im driving it second gear is like a second cousin i dont see it. So if thats the issue should i be leaning it out? Second, whenever i get it running decent when i stop it starts to bog down and sometimes will cut off if i dont give it gas. What does that mean? The smoke trail and everything looks good. I'm trying to figure out if the guy i got it from sold me a dud, or is my tuning horrible. And i hope its the second one. Any input would be greatly appreciated guys. thanks

Sounds like it's a little rich. Too much fuel will keep the motor from spooling up and reaching high enough RPMs to engage 2nd gear under load.

I'd lean the top end a little at a time until it's right.

If at idle loads up is to rich on bottom go to engine thread and read the break in bible explains how to tune
