t maxx upgrades?

as many of you know im in the process of rebuilding my 3.3 t maxx. while its apart im going through everything and change, replace, etc... what needs to be. im using the traxxas 3232x glow plugs. are them fine, or should i use a different plug? and im running mip clutch shoes. is that a good option, or should i run a better clutch shoe? any input is appreciated!

will i would find a 3 shore cluth for it with some aluminum shoes and for the plug i use an os number 3 or 4 the 3 is a medium cold and the 4 is a hot but i only use the 4 on cold days. i did take the plunge and by a buku cluths for mine wich i like but there is an intergy one for alot cheaper and those shoes do hold up for a long time i think im going on my 4th gallon now on these buku one and and i had got 3 gallons out of the intergy setup befor i got the buku one and they still seem to have a lot of life left in them also

yea i actually did some research and people were saying that the integy clutch is pretty good, even though its integy. i mean the gloe plug im using works fine. i just was wondering if theres one that will work better giving me more power maybe. ok, thanks for the info! i will look into them clutches. :)

ckblood05 12-13-2011 12:20 AM

wow, i just looked up the buku clutch and $59.00 is pretty high. the integy come with a flywheel. i already use a robinson racing flywheel, could i still use that and use the integy 3 clutch shoes?

never mind, my rrp flywheel only has 2 posts, the integy needs 3 post flywheel.

Integy clutches are the best for the money. Huge performance difference compared to stock. But stay away from the Integy aluminum 2 shoes they only last a few runs.

ok, great! now, what does everyone reccomend? keep the mip 2 shoe setup with robinson racing aluminum flywheel i got, or the integy aluminum 3 shoe setup with integy aluminum flywheel?

You would probably get alot more grab with the 3 shoe. So I would say the 3 shoe.

keith09 12-15-2011 06:42 PM

Or you could just buy another t-maxx.:D A spare???

yea i hear and read the aluminum shoes do have a lot of grab. but also require a lot more maintance. i hate to lose my rrp flywheel  its vented to. but im sure the integy one will do fine.

lol  nah, my next vehicle will be a nitro buggy or a short course 4 wheel drive brushles.

i mean the mip clutch shoes dont give me any trouble and work fine. im just trying to improve anything i can. i can always get the integy setup, and if it dont help or notice any improvement, i can sell it and go back to the mip clutch and rrp flywheel.
