Oh alright Ofna seems to make pretty good stuff. I looked at the hyper series before making my decision. I ended up buying a factory rc8.

ok, yea them are nice. yea, when it comes time to get a buggy or a truggy, im not sure what one im going to go with  i guess i will see how much money i will have at the time  i dont race, so i dont need the top of the line, but still want something nice i can run on the track and just mess around with.

Yeah that's thinking smart. Well you have a good monster truck so you shouldn't have a problem with choosing. I looked for months going back and forth on brands.:eek:

thanks! yea, i love the monster truck. i want a little of everything. i want a buggy for racing around and handling, a short course. i had a brushless rustler all hopped up i traded for the 3.3 t maxx. the t maxx was 100% bone stock. if i get a buggy/truggy, i will prolly leave it stock until something breaks or if something needs upgraded. i will do some research when its time.

Yeah monster trucks rock! I did the t-maxx scene for years so many things you can do to those. I got the revo this past year.:tire: Damn things hold a good line.

heck yea! i like the revo to. another quick mod i was wondering about. i see some people running a fuel filter on the exhaust pressure line to catch any debris from the pipe to the tank. plus the aluminum filter helps lower the temp of the fuel tank. i had one on my t maxx, but some people on here said to take it off. whats your thoughts?

keith09 12-15-2011 08:50 PM

I have seen that myself. I run the filter from the tank to the carb. But I personally don't think it would really help on the pressure line. Hurting it I don't know about that. Because if there is any dirt the filter going to the carb would catch it.

The thing I'm curious about is those fuel coolers. People claim they work. I don't believe it just doesn't sound like it would though.

ckblood05 12-15-2011 08:58 PM

yea i agree. i got one on my fuel line from the tank to the carb also. i also heard the external filters like i got are prone to leaks. but im pretty sure mine dont. yea, i saw the cooler things to. im not sure if they work or not. the aluminum fuel filter acts as a cooler for the fuel i heard. maybe google them?

keith09 12-15-2011 09:11 PM

Yeah if it leaked I think you would notice it. The change in back pressure would tell you I would think. I found this it was piece from a discussion about the fuel cooler.

I have made a pressure cooler and I can not tell it will save me runtime but I do believe the tuning of the engine will stay more stable. Heating up the fuel will make the oil in it thinner and so the fuel thinner, that will result in a richer running engine. When tuning it right, after a fuelstop cold fuel will go in and the engine will go lean. The famous hicking engine after a fuelstop.....

Beside that.... the longer pressureline will create less pressure into the engine and you will tune the engine to it so it will be less pressure sensitive and the lower pressure will also create less heat in the fuel.

We have never messered the fuel temperature but we like to know what the differences with and without are.

ckblood05 12-15-2011 09:18 PM

yea, i just did some reading on them. and watched a video with a guy that has one on his car. i wonder if you put like 4 on if it would really help cool the fuel? like run one, then a little piece of fuel tubing, then run another and so on the whole lenth of your line? i read some that used one on the fuel line to the carb, and one on the fuel pressure line.

i just looked on ebay and theres some starting at around $7-$8 shipped new. i might try one.......

the guy in the video said to try and mount it in the front so the air will flow over it. they act like a heat sink, or a intercooler.

theres a blue integy one for $7.87 shipped new.

Yeah that's what it looks like. I might pick one up myself see if it makes any difference. Its worth a try.
